Spec me an Alarm Clock

Hi all,

Has anyone bought an alarm clock recently?

I'm looking for the following features:-

Not too bright
Good quality Radio1 reception, (can you get DAB Radio1?)
Multi Alarms (I can set my phone to alarm at a different time on Monday than the other days of the week, and not at weekends)
Good looking

Any help appreciated... :)

Not too bright, good looking, and can wake you up at different times on different days? That would be a girlfriend :p
 
A pair of Blue **** nesting just above your bedroom window! Trust me, they wake me every morning at 06:00 on the dot and they don't cost a penny. :D

I've got one on my old phone, which is nice and subtle, but my new one is a bit brutal...

Plus, I set my alarm for about 06:30, so I'm missing a trick with the brand new cheesy song! :D

Another requisite = 10 minute snoozing...

Given that a lack of **** to wake me up in the morning is why I need an alarm clock in the first place, this doesn't help... :p

f you've looked through the clock section at XXXXXX you will probably know that we don't sell your usual run-of-the-mill clocks. The Sonic Boom certainly doesn't stray from that trend. Look at "natural" alarm clocks, Those that wake you by slowly increasing the intensity of a built in very bright light. They have optional "natural" sounds too that start off quieter and get louder.

It will take a few nights to learn to trust it, but believe me it is better to wake up slowly and gently over about 30 mins than be shocked out of slumber brutally.

They really work - especially in winter - and I find I am less likely to roll over and go back to sleep with a "natural" alarm clock. Philips do one if you are interested.

I have a Matsui one from a highstreet shop named after indian food. It was like £29 i think. DAB radio (yes radio1), it has 3 seperate alarms that you can set to bleeps or radio, each can be set to 1 day, 5 days, weekends, or a combo.

On mine, the radio comes on at 6 mon to friday, then it starts bleeping at 6:20 as i'll doubtless sleep through Nickleback every day.
