i binned my last one when i moved as it was years old. Now i need another, looking to spend £20-30, has to be digital and can be either battery/plug/solar powered and any cool functions would be a bonus :)

Google for 'Acctim Superbright'. Should suit you nicely :D

last time i wad an alarm clock was when i got a job as a security guard ,it was a night job and i planned to set it to go off each hour for the first couple of nights while i got used to the times so i didnt sleep on the job

biggest mistake of my life was when i asked my grandmother to pick one of for me in woolworths  she came home with a boyzone alarm clock and it was about 2mins before i had to leave for my first shift on the job :(

i didnt dare to take it out of my bag in fear of someone seeing it and thinking it was my choice

Go DAB. Then you can have Planet Rock on tap and Alice Cooper to wake you up in the morning

I got a cheapy DAB alarm from the catalogue store and it works nicely.

Next alarm clock I get (if ever) will be one of those ones that wakes you up with sunlight simulation (I can't remember what they're called) but think they sound pretty cool.

I've got one that projects the time onto the ceiling. So you just open your eyelids and there it is. And it sets itself automatically from the time tower in Rugby. It's Oregon Scientific or something.

I have a Wakeyoo alarm clock, you can record your own alarm sound which I think is less grating than the generic buzzing sound.

All the radio controlled oregon scientific clocks are awesome :)

I managed to get one from ebay which came with a separate vibration pad that goes on your bed to physically wake you up, as well as a wireless motion sensor (don't know what's the point), but in total came to £12 brand new... bargain :D
