Spec me an alternative board please...

Hi I should be purchasing my new system this week however the motherboard I decided on has gone out of stock, can anyone recommend me an alternative to the

Gigabyte X79-UD3 Intel X79 (Socket 2011) DDR3 Motherboard

Either as good or better at a similar price point....

The asrock x79 extreme 4 is a good board ands costs about the same.

However, personally if I was going with a X79 system I would go for a board like this which has the full 8 RAM slots - as presumably you will be doing work that eats up a lot of memory.

I've found it to be an utterly superb board for the money (and I paid £30 more for it!).

You get a full 8-DIMM board for your money then too
