Howdy

I've been out of the upgrade loop for a long while, I'm still running a Q6600 that's lasted me the past few years. As my overclock has been getting less stable, and I',m now down to 3Ghz (from the original 3.4), I've decided to give this setup to the missus and grab myself a Phenom II 1055T

Only problem is, I know nothing about AMD chipsets anymore! What board would people recommend for ~£90, bearing in mind that I don't need SLI/xfire, I already have a soundcard, and I'm looking to get 4Ghz out of the 1055T

first asrock board i have had and very pleased with it, solid as a rock.

overclocks very well and lots of nice features and a fair price aswell.

just had to update to lastest bios as i think it shipped with 1.0 and 2.40 is out now.

If you are going for an X6 you want a board with 8+2 PWM if you planning on going for a high OC.

I'm pretty sure that Giga 880G board is only 4+1 which will limit your max OC.

The board that I have bought recently, slightly over budget at £105 but looks very promising for 4GHz, I just need to upgrade my cooler which I am doing. Has all bells and whistles and is very stable.
