Hi All,

Currently have a Mac Mini running Front Row connected to my TV, with my iTunes library stored on a Drobo attached via USB. This library is shared to my MBP and any changes in music are copied between them using iTunes sharing settings. I buy most of my music on the MBP, but like to also be able to play it through Front Row on the Mini. I sync my iPhone with my MBP.

I buy all of my media through iTunes, but I'm thinking about a different set up now as I'm moving in to my first house. Also, Front Row isn't available in Lion.

So my question is, how should I have my media set up? I was thinking of using the Mini as a server somehow? I'd like to keep buying through iTunes if possible, but I don't really want to have the Mini and the Drobo attached to the TV, due to space!

Thanks!

Maybe look at geting the network addon for the Drobo? And then use plex as the replacement for Front Row?

I was thinking of something like this - I don't think that Plex works with iTunes bought media though does it? Unless theres a way around this?...

If you have purchased legitimate iTunes video content, the AppleTV is your best option.

Plex won't play videos from iTunes because of DRM.
