As per the title really - it needs to be reasonably cheap, have simple functionality like support for multiple public IPs, DNAT, VoIP etc. (I'd imagine they all do).

It will initially be serving around 30 users and around 15 SIP Trunks on a 10/10 leased line, but should be serviceable for at least double that with some margin, too.

I found the Netgear UTM25 for £280, which seems very reasonable and seems to fit the brief, but with no experience with appliance firewalls and a gut feeling that tells me Netgear is not the way forward for something like this, I do not want to jump in blind. (I'd usually use Linux / an X86 firewall package, but I need something reliable, well supported and pretty fool proof.)

Chaps I used to work with were fans of the fortigate appliances for small implementations.

Support was ok on them from what I remember, know a good reseller for them too.

That sort of price range be careful what you buy. Throughput etc dramatically drops when using VPNs and IPS so make sure the hardware is up to the job.

I've seen a few sonicwall boxes in that sort of ballpark that looked quite good. The bigger brother's I've used have been fairly decent.

For your price range I'd highly recommend the WatchGuard XTM 22 - it will do everything you listed and is rated for 150Mbps through the firewall, 55Mbps through VPN and 30Mbps through XTM (IPS, WebBlocker [if purchased], etc).

I've put in a few XTM 5 series and loads of XTM 2 series and they are extremely easy to set up and superb for the price. For larger implementations I'd go with Juniper kit but for what your after the WatchGuard stuff is great, I highly recommend their support too.

Little bit of info on the XTM 2 Series: http://www.watchguard.com/products/xtm-2/overview.asp

Cheapest I've seen online and in stock is £316.62 ex VAT, the part number you want is WG022001.
