Spec me an art print shop/website

Hi guys,

I own a Victorian property that’s been completely refurbished but still has a huge amount of oringinal features.

The most important feature is the high ceilings and considerable amount of wall space - my lounge is 25ft in width.

(The above information is given to provide context - it’s not an ‘oooo look at my big lounge’ thread).

I currently have some pretty crappy pictures on the wall and I want to replace an old mirror for a landscape painting of some description - something really in keeping with the age of the place.

I’m pretty skint at the moment so can only afford a print but can’t really find any decent websites that sell them.

Anyone recommend shops or websites?

Obviously shops would be better as you can physically see the picture.

I still really want a good landscape of the British Countryside though - Nordic Style is a range of shops I like (one in Wimbledon Village is good) but they are still pretty expensive - however the art you can it is very good

Find your local auction house and find when the next vintage sale is. There will be a ton of tat but cheap framed pictures can easily picked up for peanuts. We recently picked up 2 Lowry framed prints for £20 you could even get 2 posters framed for that. You don’t have to bid real time just leave a commission bid and don’t forget the buyers premium and VAT. I’ve also picked up four 350-400 year old UK county maps for between £30 and £50 each. Also brown furniture can be had at rock bottom prices and when you move you can chuck or relist when you want to upgrade.

Good shout, money goes to the artist as well rather than a gallery / middleman with silly fees.
