I've just received my Nvidia RTX 3090 and it's a real whopper! And it - just - won't fit in my Silverstone FT05 without removing the cooling fans. There's about 2mm in it. So I need a new case. Pronto. I'd prefer a case where the motherboard lies flat like the Cooler Master HAF XB Evo but that's out of production, has features I don't need, and people want silly money for remaining stock. And I've just spent far too much money on the 3090. So an ordinary ATX case that can be laid on its side seems appropriate.

I don't need 5.25" bays. I have two 2.5" SSDs. Don't need RGB.

I'm thinking of the Fractal Design Meshify 2. But will the 3090 fit? Are the included fans 3 pin or 4 pin PWM? Is there a better solution?

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £201.21 (includes shipping: £12.30)

I've spotted that the 3090 FE will fit in my spare PC and since the 11400 is much of a muchness to the 8700 I'm simply going to swap over my PSU and data drive and reinstall everything. That'll keep me busy tomorrow!

if you were looking further I would consider the Thermaltake X5 / Level 20 XT - costs a bit more but would showcase the 3090 nicely. Congrats on securing a card - it has been hard for me to get a 3080/3090
