OK So I've been waiting for the July 27th Intel Price drop and new chips release. Now it's happened I've been reading about the newer chips on wikipedia and have decided that I'm probably going to be happiest with an E6750.

However I'm not really that au fait with FSB speeds, memory speeds etc.

I'm not bothered about overclocking really, but having said that if I can clock on air and get a small but stable increase in speed then why not?

:D

What I need a little help with is choosing components to go with the processor because I understand that you can actually decrease preformance if you choose the wrong memory type for example.

I currently run a Prescott 3.0HT processor on a Asus P4C-800e deluxe with 2GB Ram on Vista. I'm expecting a fair improvement in speed from my new kit.

So I guess I'm looking at a motherboard that supports 1333Mhz FSB and so I was considering the Fatal1ty, the Asus P5N-e or the DFI Lanparty.

What I'm primarily concerned about it getting the 2GB memory kit that matches the processors speeds, but I don't really know what I should be going with.

Then I'll need a half decent graphics card, but don't want to spend a fortune.

Help appreciated.
