Spec me an epic game

Thanks folks,

I have played FF8 as well but didn't find it as good. I'll have another look into FO3 but it just looks too slow, I don't like the idea of the targeting system, I know you don't have to use it but I think I'd rather just have a point and click.

I'll have a look into Mass effect too.

I noticed there aren't any recommendations for the witcher or Titan Quest, is that to say that they are both not very good?

Edit: Also have completed both Crysis and Warhead. I'm looking for something that isn't an fps to do in the place of COD:4

I've never played Titan Quest but The Witcher is a great game, if you're an RPG fan who likes third person/from above views you'll like it. It's probably one of the best RPGs I have played in a while, I certainly liked it more than Mass Effect, Oblivion and NWN2. I'm not sure why I didn't mention it in my other post.

I'd vote for The Witcher. Very absorbing and its certainly not a short game. I clocked up a good 20-30 hours gaming on it over a couple of Months. It has great replay value as well with different paths you can take through the game.

Good time to get it as well with the extended edition been out a couple of months now.

This.

If you like that sort of game it really is a bargain at ~£20

You can get some good RPG's for free and they are excellent and have me been playing some for years.
1. Priston Tale
2. Rappelz ( Little laggy on startup )
3. Knight Online
4. 2Moons

They are 4 epic FREE games and would defonately try them.

Yes the Witcher is a quality game, I highly recommend.

World of Warcraft is a choice if you like mmo's but consider that there are now 2 expansions out so you'll have to pay for 3 games plus spend way to many hours to get level with most ppl I'd go for a different mmo (although i am a WOW player and do recommend it if the above comments didnt put you off)

I played rappelz for a few months and its not a bad game especially for free but you do get what you pay for and in this case its lack of server support meaning massive lag spikes in most dungeons. cant comment about the other three though.

-Crysis Spoilers-

I said Crysis as that has you standing on an Aircraft Carrier while an entire US naval fleet is sunk around you, a mountain collapsing infront of you as you drive forward in a tank charge and a nuclear launch destroying the entire island you were playing on.

Half the games here are excellent but not what I would describe as epic :p
