Basically I have an interview tomorrow morning at 8 and need to think of an excuse to have the morning off work.

I've kinda used the majority of excuses i.e. doctors and am looking for some random excuseto use.

I was thinking of something like. Cant come in constipation has made me a walking time bomb;)

Working from home
Pipe burst
Cat was sick
Someone broke into your car, had to seal up the window
Storm blew someone's roof slate of their roof threw your window
Collect a prescription for explosive diarrhoea :D

washing machine has flooded the house.

always works and doesn't count against your sick days, and doesn't run the risk of work wanting you to get a doctor's note. A non-illness related excuse, especially if its just for the morning, and going into work in the afternoon makes it completely credible.

a lot of companies use some kind of stats system to track sickness and single day sickness counts against you massively, so avoid them!

I'd still be going in at about noon and will be doing my full day so i'll finish at around 9 at night, so it looks like the washing machine will be flooding the house tomorrow ;)

Hargi, I'm not actually that brave to tell them that, I'd probably end up texting my resignatinon and then dissapering for a month :D

lol @ explosive diarrhoea

sorry to hear that you cant tell them, mine was very supportive when i told them and even gave me advice for the interview. Maybe they wanted rid of me lol. (there was no where for me to progress to and they say that i was getting bored so helped me out)
What kinda job is it that your doing

Well thats why I'm leaving aswell, it's not that there is no where to progress, the manager said that he needs me to support the supervisor for a couple of months and then hell look at promoting me. 9 months later and a hell of a lot of badgering and I'm no closer.

I've got an interview for an operations manager @ 22k, so fingers crossed.

Ye I know,

The job is actually enjoyable and the people are great, but I am stagnating in my current position and need to test myself more.

Just hoping they can look past the fact that I'm only 22, bit too young for an OP's manager some might say.

yeah i think though not sure but if you ask your boss for time off for interview he should say yes even if you dont get payed for it. if he's reasonable.
