decided after ten years with amd that its now time to go to intel.
with the conroe duo chips hitting the market it seems logical to go down that route now.
i am looking for motherboard,cpu,memory and graphics card and have a budget of just five hundred pounds.
i want something that i can clock well but not bothered about high end graphics.
do your best guys.

This Gigabyte board is supposed to be the business. Should be able to get 3GHz out of the E6300.
 
Reading a (crappy) review on a forum of that gigabyte board it seems like it doesn't like G.Skill memory. The poster's probably an idiot but it wouldn't hurt to verify.
