Iphone docking solutions
i've no idea about these, what they do, and what they are capable of, would be most grateful for information and suggestions about whats good and why its good

I use the Apple Universal Dock but I'm not really sure what you're asking.

There are many features depends what you want...

- Mixing two sources
- Battery powered
- Remote control
- Radio
- Alarm clock
- Hands free

What do you want to do with it?

thanks for responding

it needs to be able to charge the iphone, play music from it, the dock can be usb or wall plugged in i guess

doesn't need alarm clock, doesn't need hands free, or the ability to mix 2 sources

Got one of these coming LOGITECH PURE-FI 2 BLACK so can't currently comment on it, but all the reviews seem good so far.

I have the basic Apple 3g/3gs dock, just remember it comes with no cables, have a USB cable form the back of the pc and one from the mains plug to the bedside, and just move the dock if need be and plug it into a different cable, but usually charge it bedside at night

I have a very old dock from a 3rd edtion ipod (i think!) that when I plug my iphone into it comes up on screen warning me that the accesory I have connected is not designed to be used with the iphone, then gives me the option to put the phone into flight mode.

However, it starts to charge the phone and itunes opens and syncs. Am I risking damage to the phone or is it all cool

I found the o2 store to be about 50p cheaper than the apple store when I got mine. Nowhere else did the official one any cheaper really.

Yeah I just ordered one off the bay for £8.99 free shipping unboxed though so they are sold as used.. but perfect condition
