Spec me an ISP...

Hey,

I'm after a good ISP that will give me a nice low ping in online games

atm i have Bethere.co.uk(unlimited) and sky(16mb) as options... i've heard that sky didn't give the best pings... plus im with Orange at the moment and I cannot stand the call centers in India that fob you off from one place to another continiously telling you that you're getting upgraded everytime your net goes down

bethere.co.uk looks pretty impressive but like today... i've been going out of my mind due to not being able to go online and apparently it takes 1-3 weeks for it to be activated... I don't think i can last that long

has anyone bought from bethere? does it really take that long to be activated?

I'm with be. I don't remember it taking that long, i think it was about a week at most.

So are your download speeds anywhere close to 24mb?

I am connected at 17mb/1.3mb so i download at about 1.6mbit/s.

(apologies if i have got my bits/bytes etc mixed up)

Do you understand that your download speed is based on a number of factors including line attenuation and snr. I doubt anyone achieves 24mb in reality.
