well i am setting up a home server for games and i need a static ip but i am with bt at the moment, IF i can get out of the contract i will be hunting for a new isp that will allow static ip's and be lenient about home servers. i will want a good speed (8 meg+) and for a reasonable price

Another one for Be. They really don't seem to care how heavily you use your connection, I've more than once downloaded over 50GB in a day, a few times in a week, and they haven't said anything to me about it, at one point, my monthly traffic was about 500-800GB. They're great, best ISP I've been on, very good customer service, great price, and their 24MB service comes with a static IP as standard, for £18 a month .

£25 or less and i just did a test and im getting 6888mbs at the moment but it drops to less than a meg at peak times

That isn't how much you transfer, that's how fast you do it.

oh how do i find that out or am i estimating?, my brother transfers a lot when he downloads probably 50gig + a month
