Spec me an LED Torch

Received my i4 Intelligent charger V2 - Nitecore from flashaholics together with 2x18650 AmpMax 3100 rechargeable batteries. I need to post some pics of my XT11 - watch this space.

The original Cytac ones lasted about 3 uses before one of them died - giving a voltage of 0.8V on my voltmeter!

Quick q for the torch fans. Recently treated myself to a mag lite 3d size led torch. It's ok but I was expecting better. Is there any customisation parts sOld for these or suggestions for a similar size superior torch?

Probably gets in there the first time it's opened up. Just open up again and blow with a duster spray but don't make contact with the reflector as you will ruin the fragile surface.

My Shadow v10 had its first full 12 hour day today in the field and while I bdo s get hot on high, it didn't break a single sweat. Love it!

having been looking at some tasty mods for my Maglite some of you might be interested to know the price I paid for mine,

I got a 3d Maglite magled and a mini AA magled for under £30 the pair from Costco maybe i'm looking in the wrong places but the shop for torches place I was looking at it would cost me that for the mini alone.

After ages of thinking about it I've finally made the first step to going 18650 :)

Just bought this and now need to buy the host, cells and a charger :) more than likely a couple Ampmax 3100mAh, Solarforce L2P, a Nitecore Intellicharge i4 and also in the near future a Zebralight H600.

edit: bought everything bar the H600 :)

paid £27 for the 2 with Duracells thrown in from Costco, both seem to be cracking torches and well made bargain IMO

Not bad at all. Unfortunately your MiniMag is one of the older ones with the Luxeon Rebel Emitter, but your D-cell Mag is using the XP-E, which is the newest version.

Those D-cell Mags with the XP-E emitters throw like laserbeams, see how far you can light up stuff with one at night :D

Have to admit I have no idea what a luxe on rebel emitter is. Sounds very starwarsy but the d cell is a belter will take a video or pics tonight if anyone's interested

Had a quick outing with the SC600 and was blown away at how much light it puts out for such a small light.

Here it is compared with the TN30 which i took out for comparison, it's tiny:

Now a couple of pics with the SC600 & TN30 both on their turbo mode:

For the SC600:

High: 500Lm with 750Lm turbo in the first 5 min (2hrs) or 200Lm (5.9hrs) / 330Lm (3hrs) / 500Lm (2.1hrs) / 4Hz Strobe
Medium: 65Lm (18hrs) or 21Lm (50hrs)
Low: 2.8Lm (280hrs) or 0.1Lm (80days)

I'm trying to fathom how bright 0.1 lumen is lol. Not too bad then! Although I don't think that kind of runtime at Med/High would suit my uses at all!
