Well my drop-in came for my Solarforce, good news and bad news...

Good: 500lm is pretty sweet and the diode is nicely centred.
Bad: should have gone with 3 mode as the flashing modes are irritating and unneeded.

On a positive note it's not like it was expensive and it's a secondary light to my headlamp so not a big deal. You live and learn :)

Say I ordered the L2M from them is it just a case of screwing in a modual and adding batteries? Which is a good modual to use on that link? Just want a good all round light. I'm thinking a narrower beam is better than a large flood.

you can also get solarforce bodies on the link below...if you dont mind the delivery wait on both of them

Anyone looking for a bike light or even a cheapish one to carry around i don't think you could go wrong with this:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/XTAR-BK10...s=63&clkid=1999243903934794901&_qi=RTM1062690

I am looking for cycle lights - something to light a very dark b road i bike home from work on - have been reading around lots and so much conflicting info esp with batteries and chargers (lots of horror stories)

Whats a good and safe battery & charger to go with something like the above torch?

Right I'm having some problems with my L2P with XP-G 5 mode drop in. I leant it to my gf for a few weeks and having received it back from her it's now not nearly as bright as it was before. I've tried it with new batteries (Xtar CR123) and it's still not as it should be. Is it possible this could be caused by dropping it or something similar? I would have thought if it was damaged it's more likely to fail completely rather than just dim itself as all the modes still work fine.

The problem is I can't ask if it was dropped as said gf is now my ex gf and we're no longer on talking terms. And no, we didn't split up because she broke my torch.

reviving the thread

When I posted on here the fenix range was very much talked about tk 35 etc

I did not buy one in the end but need one now

can spend up to 60-70 quid which torch should I go for?
