Spec me an LED Torch

Been stocking up on a lot of these over the past months:

Recently been buying a few of the new keeppower 3400's too but as they are thicker they won't fit in a few of my lights (SC600 & TN30) but the Eagletac 18650 3400's are thinner and will fit in all on my lights.

Would these be similar? Says they're also Panasonic and the same capacity as the ones you posted.

Main reason I want to buy from a UK seller is because I can see the torch arriving first and having no batteries to put in it . Worst situation ever!

What do you make of the Panasonic CGR18650CH jmc007 recommended? Thinking of getting a couple of them to try as well. They can replace the Ultrafire 2400 cells I have.

The senybor batteries are quite good apparently, when the actual base cells are all the same, the only differentiator is the actual protection circuits themselves.

I think I need to start posting in this thread more often, Mrk's slowly catching up on my post-lead :p :D

Just made an offer of $40 for 2 packs of them keeppower cells. If they are all using the same cell then I guess can't go wrong for that price. I can live with waiting a bit longer for over £10 saving. If he doesn't accept I'll probably get the Senybor ones. At least with the UK seller its easy to send back should they be DOA.

EDIT: The guy accepted $20, so worked out at £26 for 4 3100mah cells. Pretty good price I think. Would have been £36 getting them senybor ones.

Is there anything similar to the Maglite Blister 6D, that's basically a self defence weapon?

Fenix do a 4D torch but not sure of how heavy and durable it would be for beating someone over the head with :p. Its also pretty expensive at just over £100.

Or LED lenser do a 4D, but its £360 . Looks like a beast of a torch though.

Haven't seen any 6D torches about but I'm no expert.

Just buy a cheap D Maglite if you want a weapon. Quite why you want a weapon is interesting though. If you use it, it being a torch is no defence :p

Carrying a weapon like a baseball bat is an aggravating factor in court, carrying a tool like a torch however is not, you are simply happening to use whatever comes to hand in self defence. Sensible in this day and age where legitimate self defence may be treated as criminal by the cps because the victim had the forethought to prepare themselves against an attack.

I've probably asked before but what would be the best 18650 cells to go for? I have some but I don't have 3 that are all the same capacity to use in this TN31.

These look ok? The 3100mah ones are £18

I use these, rated at 3400mAh, tested to be about 3200mAh.

The testing shows they are among the highest capacity batteries on the market, if not the highest.

They charge at 4.2v and are exactly 18mm wide, some li-ion batteries are wider and don't fit properly in some torches because of it.

Really wasn't expecting to get woke up by Fedex this morning . Fastest delivery from China I've ever had. In the thread on CPF about this torch deal people there were waiting weeks, so I was expecting a month wait at least.

Now I just need the cells to turn up so I can use it...:(

OMG, this means mine will be here too?!

Today has turned out to be even better than expected if so!

It should be with any luck :).

No taxes or anything either. I have never been hit with them but with it coming directly from the manufacturers website I did think I might this time but its value is apparently $5 lol.

This is why I asked, occasioanlly I have to walk through some unsavoury places in Reading after dark. I would feel much more comfortable carrying a beasty maglite, and such an item isn't seen as a weapon. Think I'm just gonna go with the maglite 6D, it looks hefty.
