Yea, once you mentioned new XM-L and promo price, I went looking.

I'm loving my Fenix TK75.
The throw is just insane for a light of this size.
But it's the flood that is selling this light.
Very useable for hiking etc.
It certainly put my old TM11 in its place!
2600 lumens and 600m+ throw = YEAH!

I'll be giving it a real workout in Volcano National Park, Hawaii next month.

Yeah but they are unprotected spend a few more quid and go for protected cells.

Some 3400's are too thick to fit in the battery carrier (keeppower 3400's for instance) but Eagletac 3400's fit fine.

That is some incredible specs - 2600Lumens!

I've got the PD32 which is 330 Lumens and it's like having a mini sun in your hand, it actually warms your hands up, but I bet the TK75 can fry bacon from 100 foot away!

I read a review that said the bezel on the TK75 got up to 150 degrees F.
That was an indoor benchtest.
But enough to take care of bacon.

Led has better battery life, brighter, nicer colour, bulbs last longer, more shock proof, can be packaged smaller and can be controlled electronically to different modes and brightness.

Are 3.7V lithium ion battery (14500s) much better than AAs?

I have a G3 CREE Q5 400 LUMEN FLASHLIGHT/TORCH on order, and was wondering if it is worth spending three times as much again on a pair of batteries and a charger.

You will get more output from a 14500.

I think 14500 will recharge in a normal charger, not sure though. I have a torch that'll take either and it does fine with a new AA
