Spec me an LED Torch

How is the MK3 Deluxe? I love my MK1 but now I have the S30 I've been using that more.

I'm trying to find ways to like it more than I actually do, for starters it's not cool white it's a much warmer tint which doesn't make it feel like it's 1300 lumens. Size wise it's great, perfect for a EDC just like the S30.

As for my S30 I'm giving that away to a friend but I have been using that more and will be buying myself another once they come back into stock at BB.

I like the look of the Olight S30 Baton.. can anyone find it at a similar price to Gear Best ? They have it just over £14 but its been out of stock for a while.

I ordered a BLF A6 with A1 tint in the mean time.

Thanks, I wish my MK1 was a little more white, I really like the colour of the S30, what a bargain but it is.

Panasonic batteries arrived today, never occurred to me they would be flat tipped, had to take a hammer and punch (not an Allan key, honest) to the battery case on my head torch.

Sithlord, got one of those smart chargers on the way, I can use it to test the cells in the battery pack on my cordless screwdriver. Actually saving money buying more toys. ;)

Thanks for the reply. That Olight does look pretty good and thanks for the heads up about the app offer. It'll only be left in the car for emergencies and perhaps used when out hiking very occasionally.

I'm pretty new to these 18650 batteries but are they okay to be left in the boot of car etc once fully charged up? Presumably they'll lose charge over time? Thanks and sorry for noobish questions.

These seem to be very favourable on BudgetLightForum.com. Use the code M4D30Q to get some discount off them.
These batteries arrived today - wow what a difference they make to the BLF A6 torch. Not only do they make the torch run so much brighter, they make it run hotter too - handy in the cold, I suppose.:D

I'm daren't leave the torch in the highest mode for any longer than 90 seconds, the head of the torch becomes too hot and uncomfortable to hold. I'm certain if I were to to let it run for longer than 90 seconds I'd burn my hand on head of the torch.

That smart charger turns out to be very useful. None of the freebie included batteries came anywhere near their marked power, stuff marked up at 3800mah tested at 550mah, 4300mah (wtf?) tested at 1300mah. Even our duracell 1700mah AA cells tested at 700-800mah

Going to be a lot of rechargeable batteries getting ditched in this house!
