It's perhaps worth it if you don't already have the TUP... but it seems they've managed to take that and make it worse, both in terms of battery life despite being bigger, and in leaving the USB exposed. 4000 lumens is great for the 15-odd seconds of runtime but the steps below are a little naff.cheapest place ive seen it is at ali Express :
they are
available from amazon and nitecore direct etc
It's Nitecore, what do you think it is?
I meant the chances of actually getting a Nitecore from AliExpress

18650.ukWhere is a good place to get decent protected 18650s that won't spontaneously combust and burn my house down?

Never had a problem getting Nitecore or Fenix torches through AliExpress. You just have to be careful in your choice of seller.A legit Nitecore? Well done !

That is presuming you're not doing anything stupid with them in the first place, of course...
I tend to use that shop for vape batteries. No, I'm just wary of cheap Lithium-Ion cells! Annoyingly they are out of stock (of protected button top 18650's), but I will keep an eye on there for them coming back.
The code worked yesterday when i tried it, just tried this one and it works - BGFLA19
My Thrunite TC20 has died, not sure why but was pretty impressive and need to replace it. What's a decent 26650 based torch currently?
There is a version 2 of this light but hard to get hold of at the moment.
Take a look at the Astrolux EA01S code FIN8301 will bring it down to just under £40
