I read your review, i went on to Tesco Direct to order but it wasn't there, thats what got me looking for others and discovering millions of them!

Try popping into your local Tesco that has an electronics aisle.

Just been looking at the Jetbeam BC40 again and remember another similar torch I was interested in getting a long while back, the Solarforce M8.

The M8 is only $5 more than the Jetbeam, but it appears i'd have to purchase a separate smooth reflector for the jetbeam so they probably work out the same. I like the fact the M8 has more modes as I think the 2 modes of the Jetbeam isn't ideal. But I'm more interested in getting the best torch in terms of build quality and also i'd like it to have a decent throw.

Had a good look online and can't seem to find anything comparing the two lights, which seems odd as they are very similar. Looks like the M8 is the one to go for if I'm after throw. I'd still be interested to know which light had the best build quality though.

Whats the exact branding on the Tesco torch packaging. I know if I just recommend people get the Cree torch they are more likely to get candlesticks then the right one

We did not find any products to match 'cree' but we did find the following products for 'creme' (65 items)

on a little black square card plasti-tied to the light along with the lanyard.

It's that time of the year i'm afraid. Hong Kong postal service experiences volume increases of between 500% to 1200% in the Christmas buying period.

Actually, Does anyone have a C8 (XR-E only) that they would be willing to lend/sell to me? I'm off to South Africa this time next week so I don't have time to get one from HK.

The old one still works, not as well as one that hasn't been webbed of course so you won't get as much through as a non touched one :/
