Spec me an MP3 player

Save up and get an Ipod, I had the first generation classic, and the first nano. bought the new nano ( in green ) and think its brilliant, Itunes / Ipods are just really easy to use.

I had a creative Zen between the Ipods, and can't fault them. Top mp3 players, the one I had played video's as well :) which was brilliant ! watching the simpsons on the train :)

Spend some money on nice headphones either way :)
 
Zen is ok, I have the 32Gb version. The menu is a bit clunky and using it for podcasts is terrible but otherwise it works ok and can show up as an external drive for dragging and dropping.

I nearly replaced mine with an iPod due to the podcast issue though but decided the extra £100 wasn't worth it so now I just have to organise everything separately rather than letting the ZenCast software do anything other than download them.
 
Should be possible. Have a look at the creative zen x-fi and errrr mosaic maybe it's called.

The x-fi might be over for the 16gb model but you might just find one if you look :). The smaller ones can take sd cards to bump them up however I don't think you can scan music as easily in the sd card.

edit - the 16gb x-fi can be had for £99.99 one my first look a big online website.

Theres also the Samsung YP-Q1 for 89.99 (16gb)

I just bought a sony nwz-a826 for £70 which is pretty damn good - only 4gb memory though but I don't have that many cds anyway. 35 hours battery life and a really decent big screen. Comes with decent earphones which is something you should think about unless you already have some.
 
Cowon iaudio D2 is 8gB and has a SD card slot if you want touch screen. Or the Sansa Fuse can be had from a well known place with a free 8GB SD card for just under £70

Or stick a preorder in on the 12gb version for £49.99 and buy a 16gb MicroSD card for £30.

28gb for £80.
