I've been given a budget of 200 quid from work to get an office chair as I'm going to be WFH for the foreseeable.

Obviously Herman Millers are out on that budget...but needs to be comfortable. Mesh would be a plus. Recommendations?

I got a cheap Herman Miller alike Office Hippo from Amazon (£130) and it is a cut above the old IKEA chair I had, though it was ancient.

The Markus is often recommended, PC Gaming chairs are not. I found that the favourites were Herman Miller, Humanscale and Steelcase. You could pick one of the latter two up from an office closure site for £200 I'd imagine.

Replaing with Herman Miller Mirra with a Steelcase Please in the next few days.
The Mirra is very good, but the cats shredded the fabric the seat is made of, and there is no cushion, the fabric provides all the support.
I used 2ndHnd for the Mirra a few years ago, https://www.2ndhnd.com/ - Cant fault them.
https://casacontracts.com/product/steelcase-please-v1-with-arms/ for the steelcase please.

The please gets very very good reviews, and is more traditional in its construction materials.

The Please looks good, I've found the V2 refurbed for 199 so bang on my budget from a place called Corporate Spec. Cheers!

Ikea Markus is a solid bet at the price range. Just be aware that new models have these auto-wheel locking mechanisms that make it hard to roll around. If you get one, look up your version on Youtube for a tutorial on how to cut them off.

Got my Steelcase Please V2 today. Wow the back support is incredible, so much better than the Aeron I use at work, the first chair I've used that properly supports your lower back as you recline. Will give another review after some time using it properly though :)

A little wear on the metal base in a couple of places, but the fabric is all pristine.

Its what they are renowned for... I know a few people that rate much better that Mira/Aerons and quite a bit cheaper as well!
Casa still havent shipped mine and have stopped replying to email so guessing nobody is home :/ Somewhat annoying as it was promised to ship same day with a 3-5 day service. Will see what turns up in next few days..
