Spec me an office PC

Hi Chaps,

Many years have passed since I last really looked at hardware, and I barely recognised any of the components when I looked last night.

The mother needs a new PC, pretty basic office use, citrix etc. Sub £400 really. Just need hardware, cpu/mobo/ram/hdd/case/dvd.

Would appreciate your help in specing something up. Thanks in advance.

As it's an office PC I suspect you won't need much storage space? A 500GB SSD would be great.

How do those G3258 compare up next to say an i3 or i5? - Just out of interest

Or even the equivalent amd?

Id probably be more inclined to get a 120gb ssd and 500gb-1tb standard hdd all for under £100 then a large single ssd.

For office use the G3258 is fine, and better than an equivalent AMD i.e FX-4300.

I would say go for a Celeron Nuc, Wifi card, ssd, memory and OS.

Should come out to about £360 which is with Intel 7260AC Wifi, 250Gb Samsung Evo M.2 SSD, 2 x 4Gb DDR3 1600Mhz SODIMM and Windows 8.1 with free upgrade to Windows 10.
