I have finally purchased a house and have moved in.

My office needs furniture.

I need a desk (large for 2 - 3 monitors), chair, storage shelves, cable management, any other cool stuff.

Can spend around £1200-£1500.

I like things quite minimalist and the desk has to have a wooden top to it. I remember seeing an Ikea desk on here somewhere that looked really quite classy.

Thanks

So much depends on preferred style, sizes, etc.

I would suggest some research in local used office furniture stores, though. But even they can be quite expensive for nice quality items. If you look for new, and quality, you'll blow through that budget in no time, I'm afraid, so it might be time for some lateral thinking.

As for specifics, I can't help as I had my current office built in for me.

You may want to look at the other workshops as I think Karlby isn't solid wood. Eg. RÅSUNDA

Also plenty of solid Oak/etc worktops on ebay for better prices - I've got my eye on a 2m x 62cm x 38mm solid oak which is £80 unfinished/£100 oiled, the Råsunda mentioned above is £160 for 15cm shorter (and I'm not sure if finished) - only reason I haven't bought it yet is my "office" is currently a store room :p
