Actually my first 'spec me a game' thread, so that's nice.

I'm just getting to the end game for FFXIII, which improved a great deal once you got more options than following a straight line, pressing 'A' and watching a half-hour cutscene repeated ad nauseum, though I'm baulking a bit at the obscene amount of grinding that comes in the post-game. I enjoyed Lost Odyssey, but the battle system was horrendous. Last Remnant has swiftly become a favourite of mine, but I've got the much better version on PC, so that's JRPGs in a nutshell.

Mass Effect 1 & 2 I've played through on PC, and they were good, but not great. Fable II came with my 360 and I loved it. I'm not sure if Risen came to consoles, but the PC version was great, until I got sick of the half-arsed combat system. The combat system seems to come up regularly on how I judge games, that and any individual PC's undeniable awesomeness.

A good half of my games library is comprised of RPGs, but I don't think I own 10 games in total on the 360, so I'm looking to skim the cream off the crop that I missed. Suggestions?

Right, forgot those. FO3 was a massive failure in my eyes, and Oblivion is an essential own for anyone with a half-decent PC - I've got both expansions and enough mods that the installation folder is over twice the size it originally was.

Edit: If it's a 360 game that happens to be better on PC, that's fine too.

Risen was terrible, at least what I played of it. I think Abooie finished it but then he's quite mental :p

There's gotta be more than that out there. I quite like the look of Tales of Vesperia, but I'll wait til they get a price drop before plunging into that.

I'm not a huge rpg fan but I really enjoyed Too human.
I wouldn't really call it an RPG myself, despite what it calls itself, it's much more about the action than anything else, the RPG elements seemed to be bolted on for the sake of it. Still an enjoyable game though, despite one level being way too long.

theres loads more, I personally dont like JRPGS so cant really comment on those.

Dragon Age Origins is supposed to be good as well.

Again, owned on PC because that version is many times better.

Seems to be a bit of a lost cause, I might trek down to my local game shop and see if the guys there can recommend me anything, aside from that I'll run through Fable II again and then put the console away til the next interesting title comes along :(

Probably why I liked it and cannot get on with any other RPG except Kotor :)

Too much talkie, not enough shooty = :(

Lost Odyssey perhaps? Should be dirt cheap from somewhere like gamestation now. It's a JRPG anyway and exclusive, there are others such as Blue Dragon and Enchanted arms but I haven't played either of them.

Edit: There was Eternal Sonata too, but again, I never got round to playing it...

Tales of Vesperia would be ideal for you I think. Great JRPG that feels quite traditional in its approach.

I liked Eternal Sonata a lot but I know Abooie hated it (:p). Saw it recently in Gamestation for £4.99 so might be worth a look if you can find it.

I'd also recommend Star Ocean: The Last Hope, it's not perfect but it's quite enjoyable.

I really missed the cancelling from Til The End of Time, but I enjoyed the crafting more and I didn't find Welch as annoying as some people seemed to. It just got to be a bit of a nightmare near the end hunting for materials, and the battle trophies were too expansive.

Not a big fan of RPG's my self but my house mate loves them. Blue dragon, Last remnant, Eternal sonanta, enchanted arms, Lost Odeysy all kept her happy. Shes currently playing through FFXIII & has resonance of fate & Tales of vesperia waiting to be played. She pretty much only plays RPG's these days
