Hi all, just playing through Final Fantasy 9 (Yes I know its a console game but still!) Was just wondering if anyone could suggest me any good PC RPG games that are similar, to this, as well as FF7 and 8, as im currently bored of FPS games, and RPG games seem to be the only thing I can actualy sit down and get into.... Thanks!

Well..... off the top of my head I cant really think of many PC games that are actually similar to the FF series, however there are many great RPG's out there.

What are the specs of your machine? if there pretty good you can get Oblivion........ and spend hours getting lose and wandering the country side.

One I'm playing atm is The Witcher which is a pretty good RPG with lots of hack and slash action and a very involving storyline.

Last Scenario is a game made using the popular RPGMaker XP that could possibly rival Aveyond's level of professionalism, perhaps even surpass it. Tiles, music and sound effects are standard material that is included with the package, but most of the character portraits, sprites and backgrounds seen in this release were created by the developer.

Try Final Fantasy Online its an awesome game and it really pulls you in, its really enjoyable if you like FF, i play it at the moment and have been for 2 years and its excellent, huge community, good graphics, great music, great people and awesome content, if your a true FF fan this is the way to go.

Well it's not similar to FF but if you haven't played Deus Ex on the PC before then you are missing out. It's an old game but if you are one of those guys that wants to be immersed in the plot then this game is for you. Probably has the best storyline in gaming history to date. By Crom get it!!!

There are no JRPG's on the PC platform to speak of really, so you won't get gameplay similar to the Square-Enix stuff. The PC is typically the platform for western rpg developers, and the differences will become apparant when you start playing a couple.

Planescape: Torment, Baldur's Gate 1 + 2, Elder Scrolls: Morrowind + Oblivion, Star Wars: KOTOR, Neverwinter Nights and Deux Ex are all quality and should keep you going.
