So I've got rid of my iMac Pro (just wasnt using it) and am moving to a solution which focuses on my MBP.

As such I want a nice UltraWide with USB-C.

I've seen the following and wanted to get the views of the learned folk in here.

Dell U4919DW
LG 49WL95C

I did consider the Samsung CHG90, however reviews seem mixed about it and it looks a little older than the rest.

Is there a particular standout between them? or a.n.other I should look at instead?

Mostly will just be for Web / Email / Light gaming (Starcraft/Civ6 as opposed to FPS, I have my PSPro for that)
Cheers!

Just wait for the CRG9 and call it a day. There is nothing that will compete.

I had the CHG90 and it was excellent, but the resolution drop was too much for me. So just went back to my 34” until the CRG is available.

Perfect - Thanks!

Oh wait - no USB-C
Was ideally wanting something plug and play for my MBP ;(

Ah that does complicate the issue slightly then. My apologies for missing that in your OP.

With that said, there are display port to USB-C adapters available that work just fine. I would prefer to buy the better screen at this level, and use an adapter personally.

No worries, I simply wanted the simplicity of it charging and displaying over one simple tidy cable. other option is simply to buy a vertical. dock I suppose (henge or similar), I like a nice tidy desk.

I assume DisplayPort -> USB-C is the best option then? as opposed to HDMI->C ?

Cheers
