Hey all,

Id like a system spec please of between £800-£900.

I already have a hard drive, 2 DVD Drives, monitor, speakers etc.

So looking for CPU, CPU Cooler, motherboard, graphics, case, power supply and memory.

Current spec is AMD 64 4000+ and X1800XT.

Thanks

Corsair HX 520W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CMPSU-520HXUK)

This looks like a good upgrade for ya, if you can overclock well, the 6400's tend to better as you will be able to hit the 3ghz mark, the 6300 dont always hit that. Not sure about the memory, i think its fine with the DS3. Maybe someone could confirm the memory is ok??

i havn't specced a case for the simple reason it causes too many fights you may aswell get one you like the look of

the e6600 usualy gets 3.4 > 3.6 on that cooler and board combo the memory is one of the best it car un a lot tighter timings than it says there too.. also the 9x multi on the cpu means you can have the memory running stock and still have 3.6ghz

the gpu is the best on the market atm (brands differ slightly)

now is a brilliant time to buy as the cpu orices dropped last week and memory is at an all time low

Wow thats awesome thanks guys for the super quick replies. Im definetely liking the E6600, the corsair PSU and the crucial ballistix. Im a bit stuck on the graphics card though, should i wait to see what R600 brings? Perhaps i might get the performance of the GTX from a GTS Price.

Are the crucial and asus p5n-e good for overclocking?

Ok those parts are definete, just need to decide on a graphics card.
Im tempted just to order that lot and wait to see what the R600 brings, what do you reckon?

Thanks for your help.

Check my sig... just change the mobo to a lower-end one unless you need the features of a 680i board... Consider the Ballistix RAM thats on offer this week instead of the OCZ. Get a 8 series card instead of the 7900gto.

Should come to around £700 + money for a graphics card left over
