Guys -
I need to upgrade my PC as my current processor doesn't support SSE2 instruction sets, and I'm getting into video editing and Premiere Elements needs the SSE2 thing.
Basically I need a processor (AMD preferred), motherboard (not fussed), memory and a fairly decent graphics card (i'm guessing PCI express) - I don't play too many games so the absolute cutting edge isn't necessary, just beefy enough to handle Premiere without falling over. A decent (and hopefully quiet) cooler would be good too.
It must be stable needs to last the next three years, and i'm not fussed about overclocking it at all.
Price limit for everything is £500.
I'm currently running a couple of 512MB 266Mhz DDRs with an Athlon 2800 on an MSI K7N2 motherboard so if any of that can be reused it would be nice (memory?). If not, expect it to appear in the MM
Thanks in advance,
John.
