Current Rig is showing its age and keeps locking up randomly..

I don't know whats causing it.. the chipset fan is borked but i have over 300+ cfm of air going through my case and it should cool it sufficiently.

at the moment i have..

X2 4400+ @ 2805 Mhz
Scythe Ninja Cpu cooler
Sapphire X1950 XTX 512mb
DFi Lanparty Ultra D Mobo
2 x 74GB WD Raptors in raid 0
2GB of geil value ram
XFi xtreme music soundcard
Enermax Liberty 620w PSU

I need..

A new cpu ?
New Mobo ?
New Ram ?

and i think i will get a new Thermaltake Armour super tower because they are huge and my Tsunami Dream is rather cramped.

Please spec me the best stuff, i'm after a Core 2 Duo chip thats the best clocker :p

and the best clocking Mobo :D

Thanks in advance guys :)

i would have recommended the crucial balistix 5300, but after purchacing this my self and it not going over 930 5-5-5-15 atm, i will go with said ram

this cpu will clock like hell on this board which is a great clocker

The Chipset cooler ?

I'm not actually sure if thats the problem right now.. i think ATi Tool might be causing my pc to crash.

Because since i've closed it. Its not crashed.

Also, when i loaded up steam and the clicked on ATi Tool my pc locked up.

This is with the pc completely stock.

i wouldnt go with the 965 chipset now the p35 is out, you will probably want to be future proof from the new intels and ddr3.

The p35 is a great chipset...good for overclocking and performs QUITE well...but choosing the DDR3 version would be a mistake IMO....the current DDR3 modules are quite expensive and perform like S***
