Spec Me an upgrade please? :)

It's only the stock cooler that has those horrible push pins. All the decent aftermarket coolers have bolt through fittings which are easy to fit but require access to both sides of the motherboard.

Can I ask, are you planning on using the features the Z68 give you?

Well for features, what i'll be using that the motherboard would need:

at least 2x SATAIII, 1 for my 1TB 6gbps SATAIII drive and if i get a SSD

At least 1 free PCI slot if 2 double slot graphics cards are in crossfire

Gigabit ethernet(although i dont think any mobos dont have this these days)

for other features i really just want top notch performance and future proofing, although also something which is upgradable but i guess that comes under future proofing

I'll have a look at what after market coolers there are for the CPU, dont need anything over fancy, at most i'd probs overclock to around 3.6/3.8Ghz and my case is a very cool case

Anyone got any ideas for any reasonable coolers?

The one that comes with the motherboard I posted is a reasonable cooler, definately at the speeds you've stated you'll be running. It comes with 4 SATA-III ports and you should be able to fit a PCI card in between two dual slot cards in Crossfire.

As for future proofing, you won't really need to upgrade just the CPU until you decide to upgrade your PC completely (New mobo etc) as Sandybridge chip such as the 2500k are very good chips and will be for the foreseeable future i.e 2-3 years.

i think i'll certainly go for that motherboard, it seems better than the asus i posted above, plus with the cooler as well
