After having Ghosts crap out on me because I haven't got enough ram, and now Wolfenstein not working due to still running vista, and a few other newer games performing not at their best, and the fact I built this PC in 2008 I think I'm due an upgrade, and will probabley turn my current one into a HTPC.

What would people recommend for about £1k-1.2k, to hopefully get me another 6 years.

Will be recycling my case, blu-ray drive, HDD's, and if I can I have a Coolermaster 850w modular PSU which I would like to reuse if possible.

So all I'm really after is;

- Motherboard
- CPU
- CPU Cooler
- RAM
- Graphics
- OS

Normal resolution I use is 1920x1080p, and have went with AMD graphics for a while now, but may fancy a change to Nvidia.

Cheers

What is your current case ?

The Gaming 3 board comes with a free headset whilst stock lasts

If you can hang fire a few weeks, the refresh 'k' cpu's should be out.

We need to know what case you have, so we can recommend a cooler that will fit and to make sure the new Gpu will also fit.

The Antec 300 is a pretty old design now. The Antec 1220 wont fit in the roof as the case only has 1 fan mount.

Are you open to a new case as well ?

Yeah i would stick with the 780. You can always upgrade the gpu when it starts to struggle, or go sli with another 780.
