Secondary machine - not much gaming - but fair amount of graphic editing etc

Need MoBo, CPU + Memory
Currently have GeForce 7600GT

Currently looking at:
Asus H81M-K Intel Core i5 DIY Micro ATX Motherboard, CPU & RAM Bundle £228.97
- CPU: Intel Core i5 4440 3.1GHz (3.3GHz Turbo) Quad Core
- Motherboard: Asus H81M-K Intel H81 (Socket 1150) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard
- Memory: TeamGroup Elite Black 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit

Thinking about swapping out the GeForce 7600GT for
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 750 "Low Profile" 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (GV-N750OC-2GL) £88.99

Or would the money be better spent on other components?

Total £317.96

Any suggestions?

The PSU is not to be trusted.

I would swap it out for a known brand asap.

The bundle I linked to gives you the opportunity of getting more RAM now as the boards have just two slots.

Ok so I'll think about the memory and keep the GeForce 7600GT

How about swapping PSU for
SuperFlower Golden Green HX 750W "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply - Black £82.99?

You dont need that sort of power for that bundle and any single GFX card.

A good 550W will run a GTX970/R9 290X for example.

The GTX750 are low power, a Superflower 450W will run all of it, uses quality internals such as Japanese capacitors etc and is gold rated.

At the most this PSU - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-202-AN

Which has a 5yr warranty and is made by Seasonic.

ok fine - I'll go for a lower power PSU - just didn't want to get an underpowered one which wouldn't run my *next* build.

Thanks for the help

Now to think about the RAM... currently running Win 8.1 fine on 4Mb on my other machine so I'm not sure I need 16...

Maybe wise to decide what programs you use, then do a simple Google search using the name of the program and 8GB vs 16GB and hopefully you will find evidence from others who use these programs to help you decide.

Ok so I'll think about the memory and keep the GeForce 7600GT

When I said GFX card is ok, i was referring to the GTX750 which is so low power that many do not even need any external power provided by the PSU.

Does it need to be "low profile"? - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-247-MS&groupid=701&catid=1914&subcat=1854

The 7600gt is ancient by today's standards.

But again, work out what you are going to be doing and programs you will using and get back to me.

Ok - 8Mb is fine for what I'm doing
Going with:

- Asus H81M-K Intel H81 (Socket 1150) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard
- TeamGroup Elite Black 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
- MSI GeForce GTX 750 OC 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (N750-1GD5/OC)
- Antec TruePower Classic 550w '80 Plus Gold' Power Supply
