Spec me an upgrade!

Ok have an old pc I want to rebuild - want to spend around £400 on upgrading it.

Procesor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3800+
Memory: 1024 mB
motherboard: ASUSTEK computer
graphics: NVIDIA Gforce 4
Hard rive 300GB

Anyone got any advice on best combo for my money at the moment (general using inc gaming)? Haven't kept track of intel/amd, nvidia/ati etc etc for a while...

if you keep your existing case, and sell everything else.

Yes windows is fine, got that sorted - just the hardware needed - that looks pretty good.

Any other suggestions/tweaks from folk before I order?

some of the prices have changed since

faster cpu, memory has lower timings/and is capable of running at faster speeds.
