My second card seems to have died because it is not displaying an output signal :( and one card isn't enough for me. I am looking for a powerful card, capable of playing BF3 at High/Ultra settings at 60fps. Max budget is £350 and I have been out of the loop with the new cards so not fussed if it is AMD or Nvidia. I would like one with an aftermarket cooler already installed because I cannot currently stand my noise my current card makes. I will be playing at a resolution of 1920x1080.

Could get a 7950. It's a pretty powerful card.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Gigabyte ATi Radeon HD 7950 Windforce 3X 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £339.95
Total : £351.35 (includes shipping : £9.50).

Not sure about the after market cooler I'm afraid I never felt the need to change it.

You could also get the 7870 and overclock it, which should meat your requirements (or become very close to it)
YOUR BASKET
1 x Sapphire HD 7870 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £263.99
Total : £274.79 (includes shipping : £9.00).

I have seen the 7870 mentioned before, people saying that is is a really good card for the money? I will have to think about it. Lots of choice :p

I reckon, if you want BF3 at Ultra and 1080, sell the working GPU. So long as you make £100+, you can buy a GTX680 and still spend less than £350 of your own pennies.

I appreciate that you said one card is 'not enough', but a 680 IS enough for the results you're looking for....

Just my 2p :)

Ah I did not word it well enough :p I was meant to say that because one of my crossfire cards is now down, the other card is not enough and I want a better, single card. I want a single card that is powerful. Micro-stuttering in BF3 is no annoying.

I am also looking to sell it to a friend.

Cheers :)

I don't know what the heck I did, but I just installed the card back into the machine, hoping to high heaven that it would work and it did? I have not changed any of the hardware or settings and it now works?

Any explanation as to why? :P
