Fancy doing something with my rig.

Current specs are:
i5 2500k @ Stock
Some stupid CPU cooler
Asrock P67 Fatal1ty Pro
8GB GSkill RipJaws Red
TX750M
Hard drives of assorted figures (I'd like to combine all these into one like a 1TB tbh)
GTX 760 2GB OC

So, what should I upgrade? No real budget cheaper the sooner I can buy.

e; This is what I have sitting in my basket currently:
YOUR BASKET
1 x Corsair Obsidian 650D Gaming Windowed Midi Tower Case - Black £129.95
1 x Samsung 120GB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TE120BW) £84.95
1 x BitFenix Alchemy Cable Bundle - Red £28.45
1 x Corsair AF120 Performance Series Low Noise High Airflow - Single Pack £13.99
Total : £271.44 (includes shipping : £11.75).

The SSD is a little too expensive for me to commit so I may check the MM for one. I love the 650D and the red cables are for nerd porn

Id seriously think about throwing money at a good CPU cooler..

You need that chip overclocked to 4.5Ghz. :D

What is your overall budget? :D

I love the 650D :)

I love the 650D :)

I second that!

A 2500k @ 3.3 is not a good look and performance could be much better. Mine is running at 4.6 and god, the difference is astonishing, BF3 is a breeze.

It is unbelievable how much difference it makes isn't it?

By the way, you need to change your sig if that is the case. :p

I need to revert mine back to the winter overclock (4.7ghz, summer was 4.5Ghz) :)

Decent cpu cooler and get overclocking. Will hopefully keep you busy long enough until the 750D is released. Then you could consider new case and an SSD. Personally why bother with fancy coloured cables if you can't afford quality components like an SSD?

I can it's just I can't justify it I'm only a student with barely any income whatsoever, oh and I'm as tight as a ducks ass in winter :D The 750D is probably going to be around £200 with an EL-ATX motherboard fitting inside of it so it would be stupid to put an ATX inside and I'd rather spend the extra £100 on an SSD. When the **** in the MM sells I'll be ok for the moment, so what cooler do you guys recommend I was looking at something like the Dark Rock 2 (not Pro as I don't think the pro would fit over my heatsinks) I hate CPU heatsinks that look ugly.

Thought it was easy, when I put it under prime it just sits at x22 multiplier !heat throttling is off too

I've cranked voltage back up to 1.35 and ill try it again.

Nope still doing it, going to change some options back

Yeah that and thermal throttling have been turned off... When I boot up the PC the core speed is 2.4GHz so it's like speedstep is on

I may have an answer, what power mode is set on Windows OS.. It needs to be 'performance' or 'high performance' whatever its called..

Does that help? :D

I highly doubt it's on anything other than performance. What's weird is before it was working when I went into computer properties it'd say 4.6 instead of 3.29 (idk why it says this, has for a while)
