Hi there,

Looking to get a PS3 within the next few weeks, as I want to play Last of Us, and most of my friends have them back home in England.

The only thing that is putting me off is the controller. I have big hands, and find PS3 controllers very very uncomfortable, I think due to the placing of the analogue sticks.

Can anyone recommend a decent Xbox style controller (With left stick above D-Pad)?

Also: I don't want to be told to wait to get a PS4 or X1, too much money and would rather wait until they've been out for a while so any bugs and stuff are ironed out.
 
I have this one and really like it. The only real drawback is that it doesn't turn the PS3 on but it doesn't need batteries.
I also have the gc1 model which is bluetooth and does turn the ps3 on but needs batteries.

Out of the two I prefer the sc1, I find them both very comfortable and nice to use though.
I mainly play third person games so not sure how well they work for Call of Duty if that's more your thing.
 
I have the power a controller, but I never used it. It is rated highly on YouTube thou.

If you have a Xbox controller already, there's adaptors that will make it work via cable, me personally; I like the look of the hori fps controller which had 6 trigger buttons and both analogues at the top.
 
There's pads out there you can buy that have the DS3 components inside a 360 shell, but the name escapes me. Google will reveal all.

There's not that many reviews on it online at the moment but its the Hori FPS Assault Pad 3. I've only gave it a quick spin but I like it very much.

There are 6 buttons at the top, with L2 and R2 trigger like curving up rather that down. All 6 are programmable which can mean that you don't need to use the face buttons at all.

There's a wheel to adjust the sensitivity of the right analogue, a trigger button underneath, which loosen the sensitivity for scooping.

I'm a big fan of hori stuff, and the big three game companies have allow them to produce license products for them, so this comes with all the sony logos and colouring as its an official licensed product. None of my Hori stuff has died on me yet unlike the madcatz and power a that just feels cheap.

The downside to it is that the pad its a tad too big for my hands, thou I do have small hands, its cabled (hopefully it will work on the ps4) and it might be useless (not tried it yet) on non fps games.

Its only £20 pounds from an online book store at the moment rather that the crazy RRP and fleabay price.

The other pad that people rave about is the NYCO raven which is bang on like the 360 pad, but I can't find a UK dealer.
