Spec me another camera cheers

Hi,

I followed some threads here many moons ago (about 6 years) and I bought a Canon Powershot A620, which was a great reccomendation thanks.

I'm looking for another similar, but better quality, my father has a digital EOS which take great photos and I notice the difference in detail and depth, not looking to spend as much say £200, what would you suggest?

My new baby boy has been born so I'd like some nice pics.

Get another canon

Best ixus you can get for £200.

Borrow your dads DSLR when you want that difference in 'detail and depth' as you won't achieve that for £200.

There's a 980 on Ebay for 199 from Argos clearance, all the others are models 100 - 200 for the same money, is this an old model camera?
