Whats the best mouse and keyboard out there for gaming.

Mainly want to upgrade my keyboard as my enermax one is terrible! though its not a gaming keyboard so its excused.

Basically want a decent gaming keyboard for FPS and games alike that will wean me of using a controller lol (cue the irony)

and also whats the best mouse out there as after hours of searching they all seem the same except looks

I have a zboard keyboard and a mx518 logitech mouse, both have served me well for over a year. I got them for a decent price and they are great for counter strike.

THE best are the razer tarantula and razer lachesis, though there is a cetain amount of personal choice in what you like but you cant get this without going into a shop and personally handling the various different types to see what style you like.

G5 - mouse
G15 Rev 2 - keyboard

Both excellent pieces of hardware

g15 (rev 2 in the nice orange colour)
And also just got myself a roccat kone (new for £25 off the bay) but lots of talk of middle mouse button dying :s

Could wait as the Razer Mamba will be here soon then maybe the Logitech G19 ;)
Thats if you fancy spending close to £300 on a KB&M :D

For a mouse I use a Microsoft Intellimouse not that best looking mouse but with 5 buttons it gets the job done. Also cheap.

I use a G15 rev 2 and a Deathadder.

I use to have a Tarantula and could not get on with it personally. I found the buttons needed too much pressing down before it would register the keystroke.

For gaming it is fine but for typing I thought it was the worst keyboard I ever used.

While I use the G15 I still think the best ever keyboard I ever used was those Microsoft mutilmedia keyboards. Those 8.99 jobbies.

The G15 in my limited experience is a good compromise for those who want to have a decent gaming keyboard and also have a decent keyboard for typing. It might not excel in any one area but it seems to be a decent all rounder for me at least.

I won the Deathadder in a competition. It's a smidge on teh large side for my hands but I think it's very good. Was goign to upgrade to the Lachesis but it looks even larger than the Deathadder to use and seeming I have child like hands it would prove uncomfortable for me.

Becuase I have extremely small hands logitech mice feel uncomfortable in my hands and with the way i like to hold mice when in use. But I don't for many people it at least equals and in some peeps cases eclipses mice like the Deathadder and others.

The Roccat mouse might be worth considering. Been hearing great things about it but also been reading the build quality issues of some from members who have posted here.

I do think it is important to find a mouse which feels comfortable as well as the performance aspect as I literally spend hours at a computer. I would be seriously miffed if I had to use a gaming mouse which was great at games but felt unwieldy and uncomfortable for a few hours of gaming than a mouse which wasn't as good gaming wise but felt very comfortable in use for hours on end.

Good luck on yout hunt.

G11 or G15 if you need the screen. Its good for Vent or in game stats.

Personally I love my MX518, but as 95thrifles says best to go to a shop and test them for comfort in your hand. Even if you dont buy it there! PC Planet and Meteor (Disguised names) both had the MX518 for me to try but I got mine here.

Razer Deathadder + Lycosa = :D

I know that some people don't get on well with the razer keyboards, but I'm loving mine and it looks the dogs ;)
