Hey!

So I’ve built many a PC, ITX, big boi’s but it’s been a while, a long while so I’m a bit out of touch.

I’ve currently got this little HP that I bought off Vince many moons ago

Obviously I know a new proper PC isn’t going to be this small but I’d like it no bigger than the sub next to it.

Currently this is only capable of running SkyGo to watch the F1 but I want to be able to play some games on it, sim racing, Elite Dangerous and a few others. Doesn’t need to be mega 4090, if that’s still the going card?

So, what have you got!?

Thanks!

There’s no real budget but around the 1k mark. I’ve got my old keyboard and mouse so don’t need those.

It’s a 4k TV but downscales to 1440p really nicely so mostly likely that. As I’m assuming running at 4k still requires an absolute powerhouse!

The sub is about 400x200mm.

Not worth going for a better CPU for longevity?
The 7800X3D is really nice to have, but if you're just doing some casual gaming (from the description in your post, I assumed so) then there's not much point. You can always upgrade to a new CPU in 3-4 years if you need it, which is the main benefit of going AM5.

I am only doing casual gaming but I’ve not been one in the past to have anything less than the best.

I’ll have a look at the differences between the two and see if it’s worth the jump.

Thank you :)
