Spec me budget HTPC

thinking of getting a HTPC for xmas.

but was wondering is it cheaper to build one myself?

only going to use it to play video from my main pc so dont need a dvd drive, just need it to be as cheap as possible and fit in this case at a later date and be wireless.

not sure if i need 2gb ram, ive got a bluray player so it wont be playing anything hd, just needs to play dvd quality stuff.

i think i would end up putting win7 on it so maybe 4gb would be better than 2?
