Hey guys, ive decided instead of forking out £600 or so on a new TV in my room.
That ill get a PC to play it all instead.
Ive got £500-600 to spend (Cheaper the better)
For everything.
I dont want it to play all the latest games, maybe just COD2 on low details etc.
I want the 19" WS OcUK monitor, as that will be used as a TV for my room.
Ive attempted to spec up using AM2..single core, but im not sure what gfx card etc to get.

Any ideas?

Need everything..
Monitor, HD, CPU, Mobo, GFX, Keyboard/Mouse (wireless hopefully), RAM etc etc.

Cheap as possible to run DVD's, the odd game..and general browsing.

Thanks for any input

It was the girls that swung the decision for you, wasn't it ;)

I'd maybe suggest something like this, it has onboard graphics but will be ok for older games and you have new technology plus easy upgrade options.

MO-017-OK OcUK Value Hanns-G HW191D 19" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Silver (MO-017-OK)
£111.99 £111.99

£49.99 £49.99
MB-004-AK Asrock Conroe945G-DVI (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (MB-004-AK)

£116.99 £116.99

CD-037-NE NEC ND3550 16x16 DVD±RW Dual Layer ReWriter (Silver) - OEM (CD-037-NE)
£19.95 £19.95
Subtotal £461.84
VAT £80.83
Total £542.67

Thats a decent spec, but im not really bothered whether its Conroe, im thinking cheap AM2, that way i can upgrade it to the newer ones later on.

It'll just be in my room, for Movies..the odd game..Football Manager etc, and music.

Nothing extreme.
I was thinking in the direction of this:

AM2 3000-3500
512-1024mb RAM
80-160GB HD
Onboard or 7600GT (or cheaper)

I just need it to run videos smoothly.
