Hi all,

I am going to be building a new PC for my parents as there current one is not fit for use.

I would be grateful if anybody had any ideas of what are the best bang for your buck system specs?

My budget is tight between £200 to £300 the closer to £200 the better.

They mostly use the PC for internet, emails and word.

Thanks
Jonny

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Pentium G3220 3.0GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £47.99
1 x Toshiba (7K1000.D) 500GB SATA 6GB/s 32MB Cache - OEM (DT01ACA050) HDD £41.99
1 x Asus H81M-K Intel H81 (Socket 1150) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard £37.99
1 x OcUK Value Black Slim Micro Case 300W PSU - S003B £35.99
1 x TeamGroup Elite 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (TED34GM1600HC11DC01) £32.99
1 x OcUK 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £11.99
Total : £222.43 (includes shipping : £11.25).

As the PC is going to be using minimal power, going for the OCUK value case/psu combo isn't a problem imo as you are not going to be stressing the PSU. However, if that cost cutting is too extreme then the following psu + case would be a suitable substitute (add £11 to initial build):
