Hi guys im a student looking for a cheap build as close to 200 as possible :) ,without need of screen or os.
Im looking to spend as little as possible but i want to be able to run games moderately well, namely farcry 2,cod4 etc.

Cheers

i know 200 is pretty tight but i can stretch but i really dont want to be going much over the 300 squid mark,I was just tryin to say shave corrners where possible

You would be much better buying 2nd hand parts.

Asrock AMD AM2 ALiveNF7G-FullHD Micro ATX Motherboard for £30 and there you have your pc.

That single-core CPU might struggle especially with the latest games :(

But for a gaming rig, you need to up the budget. Figure around AcidHell2 spec.

Be good to know what else you have i.e salvageable or sell-able? Also what's the screen size/res?

but add £20 and youll get a dual core.;) but for £200 pounds thats a great pc and nope single cores still hack it iam still running a venice 3000, but upgrading soon, already have my chip and graphics card, now i just need board and chip and possibly power supply.

I dont think you could get any cheaper unless you drop the graphics to something even cheaper. The PSU should be fine on the barebones to handle the 8600GT as its quite a low wattage system and the asus barebones generally have decent PSUs in them.
