you may want to change the monitor as i have no idea how good that one is.

get the e2180 if the price difference isnt a problem

slavage keyboard mouse and speakers form somewhere if needed

get better GPU if possible, the 2600 series isnt really designed for games but it shoyuld handle some older games without much of a problem on the lower resoultions

well it would be would if it have the crysis requirments, but mainly liek call of duty etc... most prob 1*** x 7** res.

For a budget like that and has to include a monitor, you are better off buying second hand.
A HD2600 just isn't going to cut it, it wouldn't be too bad if you didn't need a monitor as thats taking up quite a lump. Christmas is in a couple of weeks, can't you ask a few family members for £££ instead of socks and put it towards the build?
 
well if you are going for 1024*768 then a 19" Widescreen monitor wouldn't be the best solution I think. I'd get a second hand 79xx serie graphic card and a spare monitor(CRT) till you have more money.
 
its not my build it for a friend that am doing it for him, convinced him to leave the monitor till he got more money but have to save him sum towards it out ov this 460.... so what about this?

Someone else has to confirm this but wouldn't it be better to get a 256/512mb HD3850 instead of the 2900GT? I know the XT performs better then GT but dunno by how much...
 
if the 2600 is bad for games, the 2400 will be beyond awful, unless your friend likes playing the games that comes with XP

the 3850 would be better, as its similar to a 2900 pro and has a much lower power requirement
 
Here's a vague attempt... It's a little over but it's an entire PC with a monitor and a 3850 to send prettyful pictures to that monitor.
