It's been many years since I dabbled with watercooling so wanted to post a thread before ordering.

My end goal is to have a very cool and quiet watercooling setup that will deal with a Haswell E and 3 290x's.

Right now I have a 3770K and 2 290x's.

My current thinking is a 900d build with an external Phobya rad box.

The setup will have a 1080, 480 and 240 rad laid out like this:

Any thoughts on this ?

If you go with just the 1080 phobya, even if you are inspired to add another two cards, you will be hard pressed to get the system to run hot even with overclocks.

I say, if you can go external, go for a smaller case and just use the 1080, save the cash and put it toward another 290x or beer money.

A 480 + 240 would handle the set up if you prefer to go internal, itl run a little warm when the third 290x goes in. It will be by no means hot though.

If you want absolute silence, then the 1080 rad is the way to go, fitted with 180mm fans rather than 120mm fans.
