Fresh build from ground up, have keyboard+mouse+OS+DVD drive.
Budget around £1.1k for tower.
It will pretty much be solely used for gaming.

So far, I have this:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Gigabyte GeForce GTX 670 Windforce 3X 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £323.99
1 x Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £184.99
1 x Corsair HX 850W ATX Modular SLI Compliant Power Supply (CMPSU-850HXUK) £121.99
1 x Gigabyte Z77X-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £112.99
1 x BitFenix Shinobi XL Full Tower Gaming Case - White £109.98
1 x Samsung 128GB SSD 830 Desktop Series SATA 6Gb/s KIT with Norton Ghost - (MZ-7PC128D/EU) £83.99
1 x Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 32MB Cache - OEM (ST31000524AS) £69.95
1 x GeIL Dragon 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Dual Channel Kit (GD38GB1333C9DC) £37.99
1 x Speedlink Vivo 2.1 Subwoofer System - Black (SL-8209-SBK) £29.99
1 x Gelid Tranquillo CPU Cooler (Socket 754/939/940/AM2/AM2+/AM3/LGA775/LGA1155/LGA1156/LGA1366) £25.99
Total : £1,101.85 (includes shipping : £0.00).

Not sure about Mobo choice. PSU is overpowered, but the 750w is out of stock and I would like to leave SLI capabilities open for future.

Spec me monitors separately please. Probably looking at £150 ish for each monitor give or take if it's really worth it. Reasons for your choice would be much appreciated - my knowledge is lacking for monitors :P

Thank you all very much :D

Thats quite nice :D

Do you not like the XFX 750W PSU? Change the gelid heatsink for the Coolermaster 612S or the Alpenfohn Matterhorn. Other than that looks really good.

YOUR BASKET
1 x XFX 750W XXX Edition Modular '80 Plus Silver' Power Supply £96.98
1 x Cooler Master Hyper 612S CPU Cooler (Socket LGA1366/1156/1155/775/AM3/AM2+/AM2) £31.79
1 x Alpenföhn Matterhorn Pure Edition CPU Cooler (Socket LGA2011/1366/1155/1156/775/ AMD AM3/AM3+/AM2/AM2+/FM1) £29.99

Thank you :D! Changed PSU to the XFX one and Cooler to the Hyper 612S.
To be honest, I hadn't even noticed the XFX 750w at that price :D I was just seeking the general reliability of corsair when I stuck the 850w in.

We're now looking like this:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Gigabyte GeForce GTX 670 Windforce 3X 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £323.99

Any better motherboards going?/other changes to be made. I'm not looking to stick specifically to the £1100 mark, but to get the best performance/price ratio at this sort of area. Still looking for screens to be specced for me too :).

YOUR BASKET
1 x Iiyama Prolite X2377HDS 23" Premium IPS Panel Widescreen LED Monitor - Black £149.99
1 x Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard with FREE BOOGIE BUG XXL GAMING MOUSE MAT £129.98
Total : £291.97 (includes shipping : £10.00).

You don't "need" to go any higher on the mobo really. There is the option above which includes a gaming surface to sweeten the deal. Flip it over and you have an anti static surface to work on ;)

Added a £150 23 inch IPS screen but I'm sure other people will chip in with alternatives also :D

Thanks for all your replies. I've taken some bits from all of them and assembled closely what I'll buy, give or take the deal changeover on Wednesday. (Which is when I will probably be ordering.)

Chose the IPS panels in the end. I'm not interested in midtower cases so didn't take the case switch, I like my space and the freedom to make additions as I please without it getting cramped. Nor have I gone with the cheaper RAM because.. well I don't have much reasoning except I don't feel like the TeamGroup stuff XD.

Once again thank you guys for the build-checks. Up until when I actually buy this week, I'm still open to more suggestions :D

i wouldnt get the xfx xxx psu at the moment. some of the recent batches have fan ticking noise problems (not saying that you'll definitely get one, but the chance is there)
i'd stick to the corsair hx atm

Thank you, I've heard. I'll see what deals are going tomorrow before I buy anything anyway. So there'll be a slight rejig.

Sorry for the triple posting, just thought the finale should be this:

It is done and should hopefully arrive nice, fresh and early on Friday as I have the day off work too :D

Best of luck with the build... I'd be interested to know how you find the monitors, I've got a mate who's looking to buy some screens in that price range. It'd be good to know how you get on :)

I will let you know once I'm set up on Friday. I missed out on today's shipping as I ordered gone 6PM, but the boys at OcUK will be on it in the morning I'm sure :D

I'm rather excited to mess with some IPS screens actually. :D

I may make a build thread or something in the logs section. Not exactly building fancy watercooling setups, but I like to give my opinions, so why not..
