spec me day out for bday

bday coming up soon and I'm in need of something to do for it, nothing too huge just something that i could hop into a train and go do for a day or 2 in the middle of the week.

not really sure what there is to do but i was thinking of something above London way as the highest i have ever gone in UK is London so maybe something up above London way i could do?

this will be just me and the gf so unfortunately things like paintball, go karting, laser questing are not an option

20! getting old but big year is the 21st some reason which is why i just doing stuff with the gf this year, next year have to do something pretty big me hopes.

11am - Greasy spoon, get the papers, get the papers.
12pm - Down the bookies
1pm - Pub
7pm - Curry house
9pm - Pub
11pm - Strip joint
3am - Kebab

Add a few toilet breaks and that should work.

Why don't you try snowboarding/skiing lessons for a day, its pretty good fun and you could do it together.

Go to a city in the North, via London.

Leave on Friday morning, arrive in London in afternoon. Commence festivities, then move on to Fabric/SeOne and go mental. Get a kebab/ greasy spoon. Don't sleep!

Now go to King's Cross, you shouldn't be thinking properly here. Now buy a ticket to the first place you can see on the boards of destination. Go to said destination. See what is on offer.

My point, poorly illustrated here is try to be spontaneous, random and adventurous (oh and drunk or...) you will go and definately do something random and new. You can do this with no one or as many people as you like! Don't book anything and just make fast decisions, sleep deprivation is key. You could end up in milton keynes or Edinburgh. Who knows?

If you want to be a little more cautious then get a map of the UK in the comfort of your own home. Look at it. Write down 6 places you like the look of (no research unless you really want to) then roll a dice! See what number city or place corresponds to your dice roll and go there. See what it is that there is to do. Find somewhere to stay, and there you go!
If you choose somewhere by the coast go for a stroll with the gf at sunrise on the beach , watch the sun come up together and then do whatever you want

its your birthday after all.

Not sure if this is of any help but it's different at least. Might not appeal but I tried (so don't flame me for trying to be of use!) and it might be cheesy but there ya go.
